It is possible to have ovarian cysts and not experience any symptoms at all. Most women would have ovarian cysts at some point in their life because it forms as a result of a woman’s normal ovulation cycle.
The only difference is that most cysts resolve naturally and your ovarian cyst only becomes troublesome and painful when it fails to resolve as nature intended and instead continues to grow and get bigger.
Depending on its size and location some of the more common symptoms of ovarian cysts include:
1. Pressure on your rectum forcing you to use the toilet more often: This will happen if the cyst is located in is located in a place where it puts pressure on your bladder or bowels.
2. Menstruation becomes irregular: It could get heavier or lighter and has no set pattern. You may also experience very painful periods and some abnormal periods.
3. Constant or intermittent dull ache that radiates to your lower back and thighs.
4. Intense pelvic pain just before your before starts or shortly before it ends.
5. Pelvic pain during intercourse
6. Nausea and vomitting
7. Breast tenderness very similar to one experienced during pregnancy
8. You may experience some Weight gain
9. Fullness or heaviness, pressure or pain in your abdomen.
10. Difficulty emptying you bladder completely.
11.Intense and excrutiating pain when the cysts twists on its stem known as torsion.
